Most of my work is third party, so I'm not always able to show it on public platforms, but here are some examples of recent low relief work.
As I'm a commercial sculptor, a speedy workflow is really important to me.
I'm not a perfectionist, or the most delicate of sculptors, but I understand production, and 'fit for purpose'.
Because my work goes straight to CNC, all the detail has to be sculpted into the model. The most common size for a collectible coin is about 38mm diameter, with a sculptural scale of about 0.3mm. ZBrush permits detail at an astounding level, but a lot of that simply wouldn't make it through the production process.
I average around 4-5 hours per sculpture, which means that I can be deliver tight commercial work and still be profitable...
